The Association of Chartered Accountants of Côte d'Ivoire is the main structure that organizes and manages the accountancy profession in Côte d'Ivoire. It aims at improving the quality of accounting and financial information as well as to strengthen the abilities of its members and contribute to the growth of economic activities.
The accountant is therefore a key player in the economic and financial development of Côte d'Ivoire, either as a trusted third party, adviser or support for business leaders regardless of their size.That dynamic has paved the way for the Ivorian accounting body of Chartered Accountants in hosting the 7th edition of the Africa Congress of Accountants (ACOA) in partnership with the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA). The objective is to promote the development of the African continent by examining relevant subjects as well as the evolution of the role of the accountancy profession in Africa.
This congress also offers a unique opportunity for accounting and finance professionals to network and interact on a high professional level. It is therefore with a great ambition that the Ivorian body applied to host ACOA 2023, this with the strong support from the Ivorian government through its Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Adama Coulibaly. It is with a greater pleasure that it received the decision of Côte d'Ivoire's selection in hosting the 7th congress.
Côte d'Ivoire will therefore be the first country ever in Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa to host ACOA. This recognition will help accelerate the development of the profession in the French-speaking world and across Africa in general. 2023 will be welcoming the year of Côte d'Ivoire as the African capital of accounting and finance, with nearly 2,000 delegates from all over the world.
